Pro Voice Studios

Pro Voice Studios was founded by Kate Walker in 2009 and is Yorkshire’s first Speech Level Singing studio. We teach private ono-one singing lessons and offer singing workshops to schools, collages and private organisations. Every week we see many singers, performers, voice over actors and public speakers of all ages, from all over the UK and Europe, either in person or via Skype. We help each and every one of them realise and achieve their full vocal potential. Currently, Pro Voice Studios is based in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England.

About Kate Walker

Kate is Yorkshire’s first and most highly qualified Speech Level Singing Instructor. She has been teaching SLS for over seven years now and is one of the second highest qualified in the country, certifying at Level 3. She is passionate about helping other people achieve their full vocal potential. Kate has been performing as a singer in public since the age of fourteen. Over the past few years Kate has sung in front of thousands of people in the UK and around Europe. She has experience in studio work, song arranging and vocal production. Kate has a degree in Music Theatre and is skilled in both acting and different theatre performance techniques. Kate is committed to the success of every singer that walks through the door, whether their goals are professional or personal.

Why SLS?

Founded by Seth Riggs, Speech Level Singing has been the secret behind many successful careers including artists like Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Ozzy Osbourne, Kelly Clarkson, Madonna and The Killers.

Many music industry professionals choose SLS because it can help them sustain long careers without experiencing vocal problems. It can also help to ‘fix’ people’s voices when problems occur by ironing out problems with their technique to keep their vocal cords healthy.

Kate discovered Speech level Singing (SLS) at the age of eighteen and was amazed at the improvement it brought to her voice, with her voice changing more in one hour than it had done in two previous years of training. She was so impressed with the benefits of SLS to her as a singer that she wanted to train to teach it and pass on what she had learned.

As an SLS tutor, Kate is committed to on-going training, regularly attending SLS master classes and teacher training events worldwide. She has trained with Seth Riggs, the founder of SLS, at his Hollywood studio numerous times to develop her own skills as a teacher and vocalist.
