Book a lesson today! You can arrange to start a variety of lesson types, from learning online via Skype Lessons, learn in Studio on your own in a private singing lesson or group workshop. We can also teach you skills to boost your confidence and performance.
Our private lessons focus on healthy vocal technique that will enable you to sing from the very bottom of your voice all the way to the top with as much strength, ease, power and flexibility as possible. We work to do the following:
- Extend range
- Get rid of strain
- Get rid of ‘breaks’, ‘flips’ or ‘yodels’
- Build strength, power & dynamics
- Build tone
- Create an even sounding voice from low to high
- Build stamina
- Increase style ability
- Rehabilitate tired or damaged voices
Lessons will help you gain access to the whole of your voice. They will aid and enhance everything you already do well and help you overcome any obstacles you may have. No matter what your ability level; beginner or advanced, experienced singer or not, everyone is guaranteed to experience some kind of improvement in every lesson. We are able to rehabilitate voices recovering from nodules, vocal tears and haemorrhages. Pro Voice lessons are highly recommended by Bradford BRI NHS Speech & Language department and the specialised voice clinic at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester.
A typical lesson will consist of a voice assessment and then a training program specifically given to meet the needs of your individual voice, using the latest vocal science and techniques. We will then work on the application of this to songs and repertoire.
Lessons are recorded and emailed for the student to practice with between lessons.

The IVA Technique
The IVA technique is based on 17th and 18th Century principles of singing developed by the Schola Cantorum.
Our goal is to train voices to sing in a free and natural manner, smoothly, from the bottom of the range to the top with no breaks or sudden changes in quality. Training in this technique gives the singer access to all dynamics, with tonal clarity and flexibility. Also, training in this technique helps improve a singer’s range, endurance, stamina, breath control, resonance, vocal strength and vocal quality across all styles of music without fatigue or damage to the voice.
We accomplish these results by training the singer to find a balance between airflow and intrinsic muscular resistance, all within a resting laryngeal posture.
